Pillars

The six pillars of dry ice cleaning.

Each pillar is a themed content hub bringing together services, personas, guides, projects and lead magnets for that decision context.

Automotive

Engine bays. Undercarriages. Restorations. Concours.

Automotive cleaning is where most Australians first encounter dry ice. From daily-driver Teslas booked for pre-sale prep to numbers-matching Mustangs being prepared for show season, the value is the same: contamination removed without water in connectors, without chemical residue on plastics, without abrasive damage to original paint, decals or polished alloy. We service auto detailing studios, restoration shops, dealer reconditioning teams and private owners across all metro areas of Australia. Pricing is transparent, postcode-specific, and available via our calculator in 90 seconds. Concours-grade work is documented per-vehicle with photo logs suitable for car files and pre-sale provenance.

Insurance

Save the substrate. Document the work. Close the claim.

Insurance restoration is where dry ice cleaning saves the most money. The difference between repairing and replacing materials on a fire, mold or water claim runs into hundreds of thousands of dollars. Sandblasting damages timber framing. Pressure-washing soaks already-saturated structures. Chemical biocides leave residue and don't satisfy hygienist clearance reliably. Dry ice physically removes contamination from timber framing, masonry, contents and equipment — IICRC-aligned, hygienist-coordinated, and documented for adjuster sign-off. We sub-trade to restoration builders nationally. We mobilise within 24-72 hours on declared events.

Industrial

Hot-clean ovens. Allergen change-overs. Zero downtime.

Industrial cleaning is the highest-leverage application of dry ice. Production lines that lost 12-14 hours per allergen change-over now lose 4. Ovens that needed cool-down before chemical cleaning are now cleaned hot. Mould tooling that needed tear-down is cleaned in place. We work with food production plants, beverage manufacturers, packaging operations, manufacturing facilities, mining services, and process industries across Australia. HACCP-aligned, cGMP-compatible, and validated through swab studies during the trial cycle. Trial-then-contract model — no long upfront commitment.

Marine

Gelcoat-safe. Marina-compliant. Multi-substrate.

Marine cleaning needs a different toolkit. Hulls, bilges, engine rooms and decks each have multiple substrates — gelcoat, aluminium, teak, alloy, copper. Sandblasting damages gelcoat. Chemical strippers create marina compliance issues. Pressure-washing soaks engine room electrics. Dry ice cleaning handles all of it under one method, with pressure tuned per substrate. We service yacht owners, charter fleets, marinas and slipway operators. Antifoul strip-back jobs typically take 2-4 days for a 30-50ft vessel. Bilge and engine room work happens in-water at the dock.

Electrical

Live cleaning. Insulation preserved. Zero shutdown.

Electrical asset cleaning is one of the most under-served high-value applications. Switchgear, motors, transformers and substation equipment all need cleaning to maintain insulation health and cooling performance. Conventional cleaning needs shutdown — but shutdowns cost six figures in lost capacity. Dry ice is non-conductive and non-abrasive. With appropriate procedures, equipment can be cleaned during operation. Insulation resistance preserved (and often improves). Per-asset documentation produced for asset register. We work with utilities, large industrial sites and data centres on annual maintenance contracts.

Heritage

Heritage-recognised. Conservator-coordinated. Sample-tested.

Heritage cleaning is constrained by what the heritage authority will approve. Sandblasting damages soft stone. Acid wash etches sandstone. Pressure-washing soaks mortar. Dry ice is one of the gentlest physical-removal methods available — used routinely on listed buildings, monuments and statuary. We sample-test on inconspicuous areas before any large-area work, coordinate with your heritage architect or conservator, and produce documentation suitable for council and heritage register sign-off. Speciality applications include aircraft MRO, rail locomotive cleaning, and pharma facility cleaning where validated procedures are required.
