What is dry ice cleaning?
Dry ice cleaning is a non-abrasive industrial cleaning method that uses pellets of solid CO₂ — accelerated by compressed air — to lift contamination off surfaces without water, chemicals or abrasive media residue. Used across automotive restoration, food production, marine, manufacturing, electrical maintenance and heritage conservation.
Story angles we can help with
- Insurance restoration: how dry ice saves materials traditionally written off in fire and mold claims
- Heritage cleaning: working with conservators on listed buildings and monuments
- Food production sustainability: replacing chemical inventory with a CO₂-only sanitation step
- Electrical reliability: live-cleaning of MV switchgear without shutdowns
- Australian manufacturing: in-place mould and tooling cleaning that keeps lines running
- Auto restoration: concours-grade cleaning without the abrasive damage of sandblasting
